ok, it's been a while since I've heard Meyer, but he's one of the uni's real gems here. I caught him back in April and I think they've really established something cutting edge. Being from NA, the only thing i see among my b-school friends are held outside of the curriculum, usually in some form of contest sponsored by a corporation.

HI, I think we do not even have to mention the big players that made a hole lot of money out there. As soon as practices and methods like netnography develop, all that sensitive and powerful information, accumulated inside small, well established and specialized communities, will become a well respected source for innovation or product development. And I can image some companies paying good money for the data source and the people extracting the important information for a certain topic or question! It is just a matter of time until questions like community development, establishment growth and analysis will become well respected and a promissing source for business, especially marketers...
Greetings Robin

Hi, I also attended the best brands college and wondered about the comment of
"How do I make money in this new space of online community". I think this is not a question which matters in those times.
From my point of view, which was also enforced by Rob's presentation, online communities show how dramatically consumers' behavior changes and that companies will fail if they are not able to respond to those changing behaviors with appropriate offerings. Further, there are many examples like youtube, flickr, myspace, studivz, facebook, etc. which demonstrate that companies can earn a lot of money with online communities.
